Council 13005 Coats for Kids Donation

Knights of Columbus Council 13005 at St Jerome Parish in Waco, Texas presented a dozen winter coats from their Coats for Kids program to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St Jerome Parish. Kelly Williams, Community Director for the Knights presented the jackets to Lisa Sanders, Clothing Manager at St Vincent de Paul. The presentation was timely due the current cold snap and the number of warm clothes requested by local families.

The Knights had recently completed a successful Charity Golf Tournament which provided the funds for the jacket donation and other charitable works for those in need. The St. Jerome Conference of SSVDP coordinates the charitable actions of the parish, including fundraising for foreign missions, donations to help the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas, cooking breakfast for the needy, and home visits to assess how best to help those in need.
