The theme this year was: Explain how young Catholics can evangelize our faith to families and friends who have turned away from religion and encourage them to return to the Church and embrace the sacraments.

The winners of the Essay Contest from Prince of Peace at each level of the competition were:

  • Meredith Howell – 12th grade Girls - 1st place Council award, 1st place District award, 3rd place State KofC award

  • Natalie Howell – 8th grade Girls – 1st place Council award, 1st place District award, 2nd place State KofC award

At the end of Sunday morning mass on May 21st, Fr. Luke presented all four (4) young adults their State KofC awards for the Essay Contest (see group photo). Since Madeline Howell won the Girls 10th grade International essay award, she read her essay to all parishioners at Mass that morning (see photos).

We are so proud of our young parishioners for their willingness to express their thoughts about their spiritual journey and how they can help others to find Christ.
