Fetters Center Golf Tournament

For the past 16 years, the Groves Knights of Columbus Council #3491, have become a primary supporter of the Estelle and Alan Fetters Center.

The Fetters Center is an adult day care center that provides entertainment and activities for the mentally and physically challenged adults in the community. Locally funded and operated since 1967, the center continues to provide service to an average of 10 people 3 times per week. Were it not for this center, many of the clients would have to be in tax-supported state facilities. This service allows families to keep their loved ones at home plus having the benefit of free time to conduct business and have personal free time, etc.

The Groves Knights recently hosted the center’s clients, families, and staff at the Council for a meal and check presentation. With proceeds from a golf tournament held at Babe Zaharias Golf club, Council # 3491 presented a check for $15,500 to help with the operation of the center. Over the last 16 years, the Groves Knights have contributed in excess of $160,000 to this most worthwhile charity.
