Honorary Lady Knights

The Kingwood Council #12320 at St. Martha Catholic Church recently honored our fallen brother Knights by recognizing their widows as Honorary Lady Knights.

On the Monday following Mother's Day, the Kingwood Knights hosted a special Family Prayer Night and dedicated the evening to the ladies. Each lady in attendance received a red rose and we announced that "any wife of a Knight of Columbus is a Lady Knight with all of the rights and privileges of membership in our family organization. We invite our wives and families to join us in all of our events, whether it be through volunteering at a fundraising event, participation in a prayer service, attending a new Knights initiation ceremony or supporting a faith in action program and we thank our ladies for all that they do to support us.

In addition, we honored our deceased brothers by bestowing on their widows the title of Honorary Lady Knight. As an Honorary Lady Night, they have an open invitation to join us for all of our family events as well as one complimentary fish dinner each Friday during Lent. Each of these ladies received a certificate and membership card.
