The brothers of Council 16078 located in Emory Texas wanted to get the new fraternal year off to a great start with an event focused on building their faith. This they did by organizing and hosting a Retreat for Men. Attendees included knights from neighboring councils as well as parishioners from nearby parishes. The all-day event started with breakfast for all attendees and the then proceeded to a day of prayers, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, confessions, and presentations from distinguished members of the Tyler Diocese clergy, and religious experts. Presentations were given by Fr. Braun, Fr. Bailey, Fr. Ledesma, and Dr. Norton. The day’s events culminated with the celebration of Holy Mass. The day of reflection was a great success and a very meaningful experience for all attendees.

Pictured below is Fr. Braun receiving a rosary from the council event organizer Biil Alberts, council Financial Secretary. The next picture is of Fr. Ledesma officiating the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with District Deputy Mark Freund serving as an acolyte. Also pictured is Fr. Baily as he receives a rosary from District Deputy Mark Freund after he spoke to the men about his personal experiences with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the importance of the adoration in men’s lives.
