Cropped 10 Moun

St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek, Spring Branch, Texas, Knights of Columbus Council 8521 and Assembly 3439 had a dedication ceremony for a new 10 Commandment monument. The monument is meant to be a teaching tool for all who see it to learn the commandments and seek to be doers of the word of God.

The Knights committee started in early 2022, looking at various styles, and wording of the commandments, along with shape and granite color.Working with the master parish planner and Archdiocese architect a proper location, and shape were selected.Knights Council 8521 went out for bid and selected a local supplier that sourced the granite from Georgia and manufactured it here in Texas. We think this is the best replica of the 10 Commandments monument, written by God, on stone tablets and given to Moses on Mount Sinai.

This project was completely funded by the Knights of Columbus, Council 8521, and Assembly 3439, with project supervision and landscape labor provided by the Knights. Father Mike (fellow Knight) Pastor of St. Josephs-Honey Creek blessed this new monument on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
