December Charities

December marks the end of the calendar year and signals the collection of documentation for tax preparation charitable gifts. Council 7850 is fortunate to end the calendar year on a positive note in this regard by donating two checks to our Council Chaplain, Reverend Bruce Bradley, in the amounts of $5,000 and $2,500 for our New Church Building Fund and St. Vincent de Paul respectively.

The New Church for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was dedicated on November 29, 2023 by Bishop Edward J. Burns. Like many new structures, the construction costs do not cover all of the required furnishings and our donation to the Building Fund will greatly enhance functionality. These funds were the proceeds received from our BINGO event in November.

St. Vincent de Paul Charity is a regular recipient of donations from Council 7850 and the membership is pleased to be in a position to its time and talent to sponsor activities leading to community generosity. Twenty-one Council 7850 Knights provided 62 manhours of volunteer effort to support this activity at our December Pancake Breakfast.
