Knight of the Year Award

Yesterday at Bill Freitag's funeral I presented Bill Freitag's 7 daughters with the 2023 Knight of the year award for their father. Bill did many ministries with a true servant's heart. For many years he worked as a server and dish washer at many of our dinners including our Fish Frys, etc. He worked the Food Pantry, the parish Finance Committee, Lector, Eucharistic Minister and the Caring Place. He always did this with an open heart to do God's will. He was active through 95 years and only in the past 6 months did he have to slow down. He set a good example for us all. He did like to play golf, tennis and enjoy parties but he set a good example for his daughters to follow.
