The tournament is held annually to raise funds for seminarians and novices emanating from St. John Vianney Parish, associated with Memorial Council 6527.Sixty-eight golfers joined in a day of golf, fellowship and celebration, many of whom are members of the council, and included Fr. Joseph White, Parochial Vicar at St. John Vianney (in picture with four golfers, on right side).Several other council members provided support to the tournament held at Hearthstone Country Club, including event planning, check-in, setting sponsorship signs, and organizing and carrying out the post-tournament dinner and auction.
The event included a 50/50 putting tournament, chipping contest, straightest drive contest, and closest to the pin contest on four par 3’s.Incentive purchases included mulligans and a bubba drive.
The tournament raised enough funds which will allow generous stipends to be provided to the eight men and women currently in formation. The council dedicates this event to support their dedication to their formation in faith.
