Vol. 2, 2024 - 2025

Council 6358 (Good Shepherd, Schertz) supported the City of Cibolo as the sole water provider at its annual Cibolo Fest on 12 October 2024.Originally asked by the City to sell bottled water as a fundraiser, Council 6358 saw greater value in handing out free water bottles as a charitable gesture of good will. For 12 hours, and through intense heat, the Council handed out thousands of bottles of free water to thousands of people enjoying the festival. Anything free is always appreciated, so the Council’s booth quickly became a popular spot with festival goers, including the Mayor of Cibolo and the district’s Congressman. Along with bottles of water, the Council handed out other freebies including blessed bracelets, blessed wooden crosses, and candy. The City of Cibolo was very pleased and appreciative of the Council’s efforts and asked the Council to expand its patronage in next year’s festival.
