Saving a Baby’s Life

The photos above show the Knights of Council 10524 and Assembly 2570 along with family members and friends as they participated in the Pro-Life Chain of Life around the Henderson County Courthouse on October 6^th, 2024. Knights led the rosary and offered prayers for the end of abortion throughout the event. The photo on the right shows Fr. Lowry, Pastor for the council and the St. Edward’s parish, leading the prayers on the busiest corner of the courthouse square along with Knights and their families.

October is a very busy Pro-Life month for the council. In addition to the Chain of Life event mentioned above, the Council also erected 144 crosses on each of the parish campuses representing the lives ending through abortion. Those crosses remained in place all month as a visible reminder to all who traveled past those locations of the devastating effects of abortion.

The council ended the Pro-Life month by making a financial contribution to the Abundant Life PRC in Athens Texas and attending a fund-raising event for the PRC. The council ended the month making final arrangements for formal acceptance by the Abundant Life PRC of an Ultrasound Machine totally funded by the Knights of Columbus.

It was a good month in the crusade to save a Baby’s Life.
