Bishop Bernard J. Ganter Council 951 in Beaumont

The Council donated a meal to the Youth 2000 event. The council made and served spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread and salad for around 550 youth and workers.

Bishop Bernard J. Ganter Council 951 in Beaumont, Texas celebrated their 113^th year with a very successful and busy fiscal year 2016/2017. The hard work of the Knights and their spouses as well as volunteers from the local churches and other charitable organizations has made our benefit events very successful. Council 951 has become locally known for cooking good fish, Bar BQ chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken and sausage gumbo and baked turkey. In FY 2016/2017 the council served 9,164 fish dinners, 1089 Bar BQ Chicken Dinners, 542 Spaghetti, 312 Gumbo and 204 Turkey Dinners. In addition to the dinners the Council puts on a Casino Bus Trip each month with proceeds going towards our annual scholarships. The success of our monthly and annual dinners and monthly casino bus trips has allowed Council 951 to donate over $22,000 to several local charitable organizations including Some Other Place, Rainbow Room, 100-Club, Boys and Girls Haven as well as supporting our local seminarians and local catholic graduating seniors in the form of scholarships. The Council has also donated and served spaghetti and meat sauce for Youth 2000 and Teen Acts. The Council has hit the ground running in 2017/2018 and plans on continuing to support the local community
